About the Hive

The Hive by Bea was created with the idea that it doesn’t just take a village to raise a child, but also to help birth confident parents. Nobody should have to ‘figure out’ prenatal and postpartum fitness, nor give up their exercise routine because information about safe movement practices aren’t common knowledge. That’s where The Hive comes in.

The Hive by Bea provides evidence-based education, customized fitness plans, personal training, and private yoga lessons to help you become your strongest self as you navigate the life-changing impacts of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is truly your one-stop shop for all things pre and post natal fitness.

All clients are given a FREE 15 minute consultation prior to training to discuss what they’d like to get out of their sessions, what their concerns are, and to ask questions. Along with your consultation, you’ll be gifted Bea’s Movement Modification Guide to safely jump-start your movement practice.

The Hive by Bea is a space that you can and will be heard, learn how to reduce common aches, pains, and risks of pregnancy, improve your birth outcomes, and expedite your postpartum recovery.

About Bea

Welcome! My name is Bea, owner and founder of The Hive by Bea.

For much of my life, high-intensity and high-impact movement practices were my preferred fitness methods. While I was in grad school studying to be an Italian Professor, I suffered a major knee injury that changed my movement practice in every way. In the course of my recovery, I discovered yoga and meditation and eventually decided to learn more. I became a Certified Yoga Instructor, specializing in Meditation, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Breath Work, and of course, Prenatal Yoga.

After a few years of teaching yoga to prenatal students, I decided to expand my knowledge in prenatal and postpartum fitness. Over the course of a year—and while navigating my own journey with pregnancy loss and joy—I became a Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist.

Helping birthing people navigate the unknowns of pregnancy fitness and birth recovery has become my passion and priority. I feel that pregnant and postpartum people are far too often neglected by our medical and social systems and left to ‘figure out’ what should be a community-supported journey. The Hive is a space where knowledge, strength, compassion, and mindfulness are the cornerstones of your prenatal and postpartum fitness journey.
